Another bar in the Spark shipping container pop-up arts and crafts place. This one, deservedly claiming to be the smallest pub in York, consists of half a container holding a tiny bar built out of a functioning piano, with 3 stools. Luckily there is an outside area also. The back wall features 7 keg taps, with a slightly less adventurous offering than the nearby Piccadilly Tap but appearing to be at slightly lower prices. Two IPAs on offer were Brew York Galaga and Belhaven Twisted Grapefruit and a range of gins and wines were also available. Not unpleasant on a sunny day but scarcely a pub by normal reckoning.

A bar upstairs in the Piccadilly pop up, in a container looking inside like a tiny wooden box with metal tables and chairs outside and a few stools inside. A dozen keg taps line the back wall but only four have beers on the others serve wines, the beers are small and local brewery brewed stuff. There more beers in cans and wines in bottle as well as spirits, how do they squeeze it all in? Dunno but it’s different. Btw the other half of the container is a cocktail bar although it serves Peroni.
