David Walton left this review about The Moody Cow
Visited 28/11/25
Single cask beer offered and on my visit that was the crazy Peacock pale ale from the Treforest Brewing. In excellent nick. There were eight or so real ciders so clearly one for the cider aficionados. There were a range of beers by the bottle and can in the fridges.
This was a small shop fronted venue on the main shopping street in Barry. It is bare boarded with the bar counter in the rear right-hand corner. Regular tables and chairs, some tall tables and tall stools and a large leather sofa serving a couple of tables just to the left of the entrance. Festive in an irreverent way and there were some individual glazed tiles in the bathroom each having the lyrics to Jam singles. Shame the music soundtrack being played didn’t live up to that aspiration. Quirky and worth a stop if you find yourself in Barry town centre or indeed anywhere nearby.
