A micro in an old pork butcher’s shop, geddit? Anyway, it’s a shallow L shaped single room with the counter to the right and mixed seating to the rear, a few padded stools occupy the space in front of the front window. The decor is pig related other than the bar back mirror which has a bicycle motif and some machines in the window which may have been for pork sausages. There is a screen; shock, horror, gasp for a micro but who cares? Industrial carpet and lighting, one table is a butchers block, another a cut down bench and the third I don’t know what but it’s got what looks like repurposed old car seats next to it. The unisex toilet at the rear right is tastefully labelled “Dick and Fannys”, apostrophe acolytes take note! Four pulls of small brewery beers plus three solo kegs of mainstream beers, gasp! but again who cares? Three pulls in use, they change but it was two from Settle and one from Moorhouses today. Quality was fair to middling beer wise but a nice atmosphere. Cash only.

This is a one roomed micro with the bar positioned over on the right hand corner as you enter. When we arrived, there was three lads at the bar and one fella sitting down with a pint and his dog. There was some silence as we entered and made our way to the bar. I spotted a Naylor's Mosiac on handpump and went for a pint. This resulted in a lot of laughter and banter, as it turned out that before we arrived, the other customers had all tried it and nobody liked it.
This micro was previously a butcher's shop that the owners used to own and run. The husband still makes pork and steak pies upstairs - the pork pie I had was outstanding. Evidence of the shop and some pie making equipment can be seen around the pub. Also, whilst we were there a large plate of cooked chicken wings coated in a tikka sauce was passed around. There other ale choices were Naylor's Land of Hope and Glory, Stod Fold Dark and Golden Pippin. This was a difficult one to leave and I'd definitely make a return visit.

New micropub, housed in a former butcher's shop. Very little information available at present.
