This is a lively, two room brewpub at the top end of the town centre, set in what feels like an old workshop but is apparently a former retail unit. You enter via a covered, pavement-side seating area, into the main bar which has a concrete screed floor, plain painted walls and the servery down the right-hand wall. Seating comes in the form of low stools, padded benches, and high stools in the space to the left, with various black and white photos on the walls, a few beer signs and lots of potted plants on display. The bar has a simple counter and a grand modern shelving unit across the bar back on either side of the keg taps, all topped off with a TV screen above, acting as the beer board. A few more seating options can be found opposite and under some huge brewing vessels on a raised platform at the back of the room. If you still can’t find somewhere to sit, you can pass through the servery into a similarly sized dining room to the right, which offers loads more seating and has its own servery with a wood slat counter to one side. A staircase suggests the possibility of an upstairs overspill area, but I never got around to checking out this assumption. Each table had a pretty awesome sounding Asian street food menu - curries, noodles, ramen, bao buns etc... – but as we’d already eaten, we had to leave this for others to enjoy.
As the name and brewing vessels suggest, the pub supplies its own beer, with Cold Bath Stout (£4.90 a pint), Bitter and Blonde available on cask, along with two more of their beers and two of their ciders on keg. These were supplemented by no less than eight guest keg beers from a range of micros, most of which I was unfamiliar with. The Stout was in great condition, if perhaps suffering from a thin mouthfeel, and the place was doing a roaring trade, making for an excellent atmosphere.
I really liked this place, which I thought ticked a lot of boxes, from the quirky, two bar interior, tasteful industrial styling that couldn’t have been much further from those seen in the likes of Brewdog’s bars, the fine, well-kept beer selection, the great atmosphere and the tempting menu. I must’ve walked past here a dozen times after my visit and every time I looked through the window wishing I had the time to pop back again – it was the best pub I visited during my time in Harrogate and would be right at the top of the list for a revisit.

Cold Bath Brewing Co is a trendy bright and airy tap that was busy both inside and out during a recent Friday evening visit. Past the enclosed covered seating out front there’s a bar counter up the right that faces an open plan area full of high tables. The two hand pumps were drawing their Best and Small Batch Stout, the latter being a decent pint. There are also twelve craft keg fonts, five of which are also Cold Bath Brewing’s. To the side of the bar is an opening to the Cold Bath Clubhouse next door that was being used by various street food vendors. As trendy bars go I actually liked this place and would pop back in if passing.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Cold Bath Brewing Co

An unusual brewery tap in that it's not only in the town centre but also with an airy feel under a high ceiling (apart from the covered terrace at the front) and less makeshift than many. Caught it at a quiet time, but the relaxing atmosphere was welcome after earlier travel delays. Six of its own beers on the 10½ keg taps, plus four crafty guests. However, I went for seemingly unseasonal Small Batch Stout (£4.90) which actually worked well despite the heat.

A decent sized venue with the added terrace out front for some additional seating. The decor in here is a mix of traditional hence some red patterned rugs, wall photos and lamps, along with an industrial theme and brewing kit. Ten craft beers, two ciders and a choice of two cask. The two cask ales were Cold Bath Brewing Bitter and Cold Bath Small Batch Stout. All the beers, plus ciders were served in Pint, Schooner, Half Pint or Thirds. I went for their Stout which was decent.

A converted garage which retains something of an industrial feel thanks to the glass frontage and sundry tool cabinets and other kit. A few barrels stand around and upstairs on a mezzanine level is a small "development brewery" but most of their production is carried out at Wold Top. Three handpumps carried a very traditional Bitter (some would say BBB), a Pale and a Blonde, while the 11 keg taps in the wall offered a wider selection of styles. We had a nice chat with the owner/brewer and I would have liked to have spent more time here - certainly worth including on a Harrogate crawl.

Now has 3 handpumps, we called in on Monday lunchtime and then again just before 10 that night. The cask ale is served a bit warm for my taste, but the condition was good. Gets and extra point for the cask. Come on guys, you can't be called Cold Bath Brewing and serve warm pints. Turn the cooler down a couple of degrees. :-))

An interesting addition to the Harrogate drinking scene. There's an eclectic selection of bits and pieces all around the place and the clientele were eclectic as well during our Sunday, late afternoon visit. A bunch of 20 somethings as you might expect, but also older couples, a young mum with a baby and a huge old dog. A fair selection of bees, but sadly all keg. I tried a couple of the lighter ones which were pretty good. If it sold real beer I'd love it and spend a lot of time here, but it was 45 minutes and gone.

Old Boots left this review about Cold Bath Brewing Co

Crafty bar with the standard 10 keg taps on the back wall, done out in a mix of industrial / schoolroom décor with some eccentric features like an unusable old door stuck on the wall, an old bike and the usual Edison bulbs, arty photos and grey paint. The staff however are enthusiastic and friendly and the range of beers is reasonably well thought through. The brewery is visibly located on a mezzanine floor at the back of the pub.
