Luckily enough we found the Imex Business Park and then found the entrance gate closed. I managed to spot a buzzer on the gate and I also saw a small sign leading to the brewery, I pressed the intercom and the gate opened. You then walk into the building and as we walked down the industrial lobby area, we could here pop music playing as you walked along, about half way down you see a doorway with a sign saying 'Bar' in neon lights above it. Once inside, the layout consisted of a long narrow room with the bar area positioned on the left hand side, opposite to this was the small micro brewery room. The seating options in the tap room comprised of a good selection of bar stools around the bar area, low tables and chairs further down the room and an events tent covering a rear seating area.
We met the owner/brewer and his wife on arrival, who introduced themselves and asked us our names and where we were from. The majority of the drinkers in here all seemed to be friends and family, still we were made very welcome.
A surprising 15 handpumps on the bar, with only 1 from Ran Ales, which was their Rum and Raisin Stout. The owner told us all his beers got drank as they'd just had a Beer Festival. Mrs A went for a beer bat, three third measures for £3.30, which had a Peakstones Dimmingsdale Blonde, Derventio Nova and Ran Rum and Raisin Stout, whilst I enjoyed the Peakstones.
