Blue Scrumpy left this review about Bonehead
This is a bar that I've been meaning to visit for some time. It is situated nextdoor to Cherry Reds where I've been to several times. The exterior is painted black and the interior is quite dark too. Spread over a couple of floors, it was much more food-oriented than I had anticipated. Indeed, the first floor was reserved for diners and the ground floor had not tables that could accommodate our party. As such, we congregated around the bar which is to the rear of the ground floor.
Beers are listed on a board to the left of the bar. They are all keg beers. The craft beer selection for our visit was Verdant LightBulb, Deya Steady Rolling Man, Pastore Love & Lemons, Track Wait To See & Neon Raptor/Amity Stomping Ground. The latter ran out when one of our drinkers ordered it. So they gave him what they had managed to pour on the house. I chose the Love & Lemons, which was a sour that I didn't rate particularly highly. A fridge behind the bar stocks some more craft beers. We spotted one can from Beak priced at £14, which seemed outrageously expensive.
Walls have posters for various rock groups whilst an unusual feature was a doll bearing the word c*nt. It's clear that this place is trying to be an "alternative" venue. However, I felt that the atmosphere felt more like a wine bar than anything else. As the previous reviewer noted, there were plenty of staff around to serve the beer and the food. The beer selection wasn't bad for craft beer and its location in an area of decent late night bars means that I may give it another try at some point in the future.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Bonehead
Compact and crafty modern bar and diner, with low lighting and an odd mixture of decor (part Goth, part industrial minimalist). Having said that, all the tables were full, and the echoing chatter drowned out the relatively loud and heavy music. That just left four stools by the high bar counter. Anyway, you wouldn't expect real ale in a joint like this, so no disappointment there, but there was a reasonable selection from the eight keg taps on the bar-back (including my Lightbulb from Verdant, £5.85). Also worth noting that there were plenty of staff on duty, and the whole operation seems well run.

Just round the corner from Cherry Reds. This is a trendy chicken burger bar. It was quite dark inside and the place was empty on my visit (granted it had only been open a half hour). Crafty beers only which come from the 7 or 8 taps behind the bar. Usual crafty prices, sadly. A once only visit for me.
