A shop conversion to a micro pub,but with more room than you would imagine and two small metal tables outside if you need a tab. There is a drinking ledge with high seats in the front window and room for lots of vertical drinking inside, busy but not packed at 7pm on a Friday evening.
Four handpumps were serving Deya It's All Linked (NBSS 3.5),Wild Beer Spring, Salopian Time Millionaires and North Riding Toffee Ripple Porter. The 10 craft keg taps had some very interesting options, many very high ABV and a good mix of styles.
Not far from the station,I really liked this micro and would definitely return, taking a bit more time than this crawl visit.Don't miss it.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Plug & Taps

Tidy micro-pub pub near the severing ring-road but just far enough away for the pavement tables to avoid disruptive noise from the passing traffic. There are no tables inside, with all seating on padded high stools beside wall-mounted shelves. With two of the four handpumps in use, I found a pair from Rivington - Beach House and Walking in Circles (£3.70), together with ten well-chosen craft keg beers in a wide range of styles and strengths from taps on the bar-back.

This was my last pub of the day, the 14th if my notes are correct, and as Friday afternoon approached evening the pubs were getting busier. This narrow micropub was no exception, and there were even a few sitting outside where there are a couple of tables. As it was the train next for me, I decided to go for the strongest beer on the keg taps, a 10% abv imperial stout from Cloudwater called The Act of Chewing, which set me back all of £3.40 for a third of a pint. Yummy.

Corridor like micro with four cask and 10 keg taps plus bottles, cans, wines and spirits. Furnished with stools and shelf it has some nice photos as decor. One of the best places in Preston for beer drinkers.

We arrived here at 12.40 on a Saturday afternoon, when the bar actually opens at 1pm. This wasn't a problem as the young barman spotted us at the door and let us in early. This former hairdressers consisted of a ground floor room with bar over on the right, plus an upstairs room with further seating. There was a choice of 10 craft keg beers, four cask and a well stocked fridge of various cans and bottles. The cask line up was Rivington Dingo, Twisted Barrel Citra, Marble Petite and Salcombe Devon Amber.
We went for the Twisted Barrel Citra, which was a very good beer. The barman also drew some beer off the line before serving us, which obviously shows that he knows his stuff. Well worth a visit for an interesting range of beers and only a ten minute walk from the train station.

it's a craft and cask beer bar aiming at the high end of the beer market. a nice addition to the city centre but basically a beer shrine as opposed to 'pub' and not somewhere I'd fancy staying too long.
