The Seymour Arms is a backstreet local in a student part of town so the crowd in attendance during a recent late Tuesday evening visit was of the younger generation. There weren’t many of them, but those who had made the effort to come out were all off their nut.
There is an L shaped bar, and the shorter side facing the entrance supports three shiny Handpumps, all of which were unused. The main section of the bar, with the standard and premium keg, faces a raised area to the right that houses a pool table and dartboard. To the left and right of the entrance are small seating areas and televisions are available for airing the advertised Sky Sports. These were all off as some loud music was playing. Open mic and live music is regularly held here. The young manager was actually very polite, but this isn’t somewhere I’ll be rushing back to.
