A very nicely renovated Sam’s pub retaining a multi-room layout. Two well appointed sitting rooms are either side of the front entrance, the bar room is behind with a snug to the left of it and at the rear is a games room, well a room with a dart board complete with electronic scorer, don’t tell Humphrey! Next to the games room is a very nice courtyard garden. Furnished in a mix of styles from the 16th to 20th century and decorated with equestrian and rural whatnots as well as the ubiquitous old photos. Probably my favourite pub of the four in Sherburn but the competition isn’t that good, the OBB was in good to very good condition.
