The more traditional of the two pubs in the village, the Mildmay Colours a one - room bar, with drinking space on either side which are almost seperate rooms. Only two handpumps in use during my visits in June, one of which has the house beer - brewed by Skinners. (Does it try to replicate the beer which was brewed on the premises 20 odd years ago?) The other beer was from Teignworthy. Food is traditional pub fayre, plus pizzas.

Very traditional stone built pub with a musty smell to it on our visit and a somewhat tired feel. On offer from six handpulls were Teignworthy Neap Tide (a decent drop at £2.80 a pint), Colours Best, presumably rebadged for the pub but I didn’t see who brewed it, and Addlestone Premium cloudy cider, with a fourth pump clip reversed and two vacant. It felt very average to us – it was however a very quiet Sunday night so I can’t tell if it would normally liven up.
