Visited on a weekday afternoon towards the end of March. This is a double shop conversion knocked into one with split levels.
A sign states that well behaved kids and dogs are welcome, but the presence of two hyper shouty kids in at the time of my visit did spoil the experience somewhat. Not sure if their dad was friends of the owner or something.
My half of Rule of Three by Brewsmith set me back £2 and was very pleasant and served at perfect temperature.
There is a quiz night advertised and indeed most of the tables were reserved from 7:45pm onwards for the various quiz teams.
Externally there are some tables to the front, on the pavement.
Nice enough but would have been better without the screaming kids.

This is a spacious two roomed micro pub with plenty of seating options. The main colour scheme is grey and orange, with some orange coloured banquette seating and orange painted walls. The flooring is boarded throughout with a pine finished bar area and counter. Other features include a newish looking black upright piano and different coloured hanging lamps over the bar counter.
Five cask ales on pulls, Brewsmith Antipodean pale, House cask bitter brewed by Reedley Hallows, Marble Manchester Bitter, Big Trip Nana Likes the Dubstep and Eagles Crag Brewery Black Eagle oatmeal stout. All served by a friendly and chatty barman.

Typical micropub, but very comfortably decorated. Two low tables, two high tables and a few barstools. This is quite possibly the most middle class micropub I've ever visited, in keeping with most of the area I guess. 5 handpumps, all serving local beers which was a bit disappointing for my tastes. Brewsmith Cascade was in good nick though. I'll definitely call in here again next time I'm in Rawtenstall.

Clean and spacious micro pub in then heart of Rawtenstall that offered 5 local cask beers plus a Pilsner and IPA on tap.On entry there is bench type seating to the left with high chairs and thin tables to the right plus 5 window stools for you to watch the world go by.
Quite liked this one and enjoyed my short chat with the friendly and knowledgeable landlord and will certainly return when in the area again.
