Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Dorothy Pax
Bar and music venue in one of the low arches facing the canal basin. Very limited seating inside, with the couple of low tables beside the curving front window seemingly used for temporary storage and the three down in the bar / stage area down a short flight of steps below being used the staff for various purposes. However, there are plenty of benches outside overlooking the waterway. I found four of the seven handpumps in use, offering a pair from Abbeydale, the Gold from Triple Point and Ossett's Crystal (£4.20).

Occupying one of the numerous arches at Victoria Quays, this recent addition to Sheffield's real ale scene was rocking when I arrived this afternoon. There are a few steps down to the main bar area, which has a small stage in the corner, where a couple of guys on guitar and bass were entertaining a decent sized crowd with a set of country/rockabilly. In the corner is a small bar counter with three hand pumps for ale, one for cider or perry, plus a number of keg fonts. It was too crowded to write a proper description, but the beer was ok, if a tad cold and just a bit too frothy. I'm sure I'll be back on another occasion, preferably one when my ears are not subject to the assault they received this afternoon.
