Nice village local on the B4310 in the village of Brechfa. Parking is directly opposite. You'll probably struggle to get a space here when it is busy. Luckily, on my Saturday evening visit, there were only 4 locals at the bar to the right-hand side as you enter and just as many diners in the area to the left-hand side.

Unusually for Carmarthenshire, this pub stocks real ale. Cwrw Gorslas was the beer of choice. So, it is no surprise that it is included in the 2023 Good Beer Guide.

Locals seemed happy to switch from English to Welsh occasionally, perhaps wary of a stranger in their presence? I didn't locate a car park here. But there is certainly a small amount of space at the roadside, if you are lucky.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Forest Arms

Reopened after a long period of closure, this stone built pub has a row of nicely refurbished rooms with a two-part bar in the centre, although one side is seldom used. The main room houses the bar, some leather chesterfields round a log burner and the local drinkers, while the rooms extending off to either side are set out for diners. There is a beer garden to the rear. Food is very popular (booking recommended) and one ale is available, often St Austell Tribute. Note is closed Monday despite Facebook listing.
