Hard to find, especially if someone has playfully turned around the A-board at the end of the street with its normally useful arrow. This is a pop-up bar in a long-disused factory unit, open only December 2017 and then only Thursday to Sunday. At present there is no real ale, but this will change if the bar becomes permanent (subject to negotiations). This is a basic, bare room with brick walls and corrugated roof, no external signage and internal decoration a mixture of ad hoc, primitive and Christmassy, but somehow it seems to work. The owner is an engaging chap - at least, he is when he only has one customer - and his beers are well kept, though expensive. My half of Wild Beer Millionaire Stout 4.8% cost £3, but was not gassy and, considering the surroundings and time of year, not overly cold either. Apparently it's not always been as quiet as it was at the time of my visit (late afternoon on a Sunday), so it will be interesting to see if this new venture becomes more of a fixture - whether in this building or some other.
