Will Larter left this review about The Peacock
A food oriented pub with a real fire. The original building has been extended in at least two directions, but thankfully there are numerous different rooms of varying character rather than a fashionable single large space. The bar counter is in the corners of two rooms in the main building, with the main part, itself quite small, sporting three hand pumps. Service was very friendly and efficient, and the beer was in good condition. There was background music but I found it fairly tolerable: at least it wasn't Christmas hits of the last 60 years. I found it quite pleasant and comfortable here and managed to stretch my half of Peak Ales Bakewell Best Bitter out for approaching 30 minutes. I might come back here on my bike next summer; on this occasion the 16a bus from Dronfield got me here and back.
