Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The PotHole
Popular micro-pub in an otherwise dull suburban shopping centre, with all the usual trappings (i.e. almost none). However, it was full on a Friday evening, and the beer choice was good. With three of the owning Falstaff Brewery's real ales in different styles - including the Fistful of Hops (£3.50) - Goff's Lancer, Cavendish from Welbeck Abbey and several Thornbridge keg offerings, there is something here for most people.

The Pothole is now under new ownership from Falstaff Brewery. This is a one roomed micro with a small snug out the back. I thought the interior was interesting with its theme towards electric components sourced by the owner of Falstaff.
Two large insulators from a pantograph used to pick up power from an electric loco were used to support a drinking shelf across the front window. This micro also had an excellent range of ales across 6 handpumps. Four from Falstaff and one guest, Falstaff A Fistful of Hops, TATE, Smiling Assassin, Phoenix and Crusader. Their guest beer was from Wolds Farm Brewery Porter.

This was my first pub of the day, following a train ride from Sheffield and a bus out from Derby. Arriving at 12:25 and expecting the pub to be open, it was a surprise to find a note on the door with revised hours for the "festive season": 2pm opening rather than 12. I could see someone cleaning the tables inside, so I chapped on the door and asked if he was the owner. He confirmed that he was, and when I told him I'd come all the way from Sheffield he just said he was sorry. The changed hours had been "extensively advertised" (there's nothing on Facebook) and he hadn't pulled the lines through yet. Sorry. Well, I'm sorry too. Sorry I can't write a review for this website saying how good your pub is. Sorry.

New micropub, converted from a former dry cleaners. One of the three co-owners runs Littleover Brewery.
