Unashamedly trendy kitsch bar. To be fair it's done well, for example the tables are bespoke with the logo and a ship being engulfed by a sea monster. The flooring shows the bay around Ilfracombe in pictorial form, with local landmarks and shipwrecks plotted. There’s random objects d'art including a life-sized ET who has been repurposed as a multi-plug phone charging station (‘ET charge phone’, he says). Dog leg interior with salvaged third length timber panelling and plenty of coat kegs cast in the shape of an old diver’s mask. Rugby on both screens with people eating brought-in scran from the local chippy. Four pumps with a solitary Bass on, which was fine (NBSS 3) if poured like an old maid would by the teenage barman. GBG22 listed.
