Blue Scrumpy left this review about Riley's Loft

Hidden away along an alleyway to the west of town centre, Riley's Loft is situated not long after the passageway opens up to form a street, with an attractive church opposite. The bar has 2 or 3 rooms, on the first floor, reached by some stairs. The interior is modern and air conditioned. Walls feature either black paint or exposed brickwork, with white painted ceilings provided some brightness. Seating is comfortable and background music is played.

There is just the single handpull here. This was clipped with a nice Vocation Chop & Change: Galaxy. Craft beers were Vocation Heart & Soul, Hawkstone Session & Black & Rivington The Same Way You Showed Me. The cider was Hawkstone Hedgerow. Pizzas are served.

We certainly appreciated the air conditioning here and the beer was nice. However, similar to Riley's Taproom & Wine Bar in the town centre, this felt a bit too much like a wine bar to me. A good option for courting couples though!

Al Bundy left this review about The Emporium

The rather bland exterior makes this place easy to miss. The place is food led with the dining area to the front and the drinking area to the rear where you will also find the bar. 3 handpulls dispensing local beers. There is an upstairs part but I never ventured there. Its an alright place but not very 'pubby'.
