Bar for the polo club but operates as a pub when they're not playing. Presented as a fake country pub complete with thatched roof but all very pleasant inside, could easily be a Brunning and Price outlet. Island bar surrounded by normal height seating, with large outside areas facing the polo ground on one side and a large terrace on the other.
Just two other customers at 6pm on a Monday evening. Several handpumps but just the one in use bearing a Pride clip. Not wanting the first pint out for around 24 hours I stuck to Clarkson's eurofizz which I enjoyed by a gas effect fire delivering much light but no heat. They stock all of his attempts at brewing, and an a-board with his ugly mug on it in the lobby, making you wonder if it's a Hawkstone tied house.
Worth a look if you're passing and nice on a sunny day.
