Old Boots left this review about Doghouse
Quite handily placed near the bus station and not a long way from the railway station, as RobCamra says it’s now an area of decent pubs. Like next door (Wapentake) it’s a long thin conversion job which has been open for years, it opened around the same time as Wapentake. A short counter on the left when you go in with seating on stools to the side, up a couple of steps there’s more of the same with a bench at the far end. Fairly sparse decor of odd pictures including musician ones and tap / pump clips, it does have a rotating glitter ball, which is nice. Constant music goes without saying operated from a deck in the front window. Three pulls at the far end of the counter usually with something different for Leeds plus eight solos of prosaic brews. It does bagels plus some other stuff if you fancy food.

A two storey bar with a beer yard to the rear. It's pretty small downstairs and upstairs is smaller. Friendly landlord, but only Saltaire Amarillo available on the handpumps. We had a quick drink and a chat and wandered off. Probably won't bother next time with a lot of heavy competition nearby.

One room with the bar to the left. Three real ales and one strong IPA. Room at the rear outside for seats.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Doghouse Bar
On entrance the bar situated on the immediate left, looked quite continental with numerous different coloured bottles of spirits and liqueurs. There was also a wide selection of bottled beers and various keg options. Three handpumps with two on, Saltaire Amarillo Gold and Dancing Duck Waddle It Be? I tried both and wasn't impressed, so I went for The Horsforth Brewery Raspberry Saison 7.5% on keg, which was excellent. The owner was friendly and chatty and he certainly knew how to put together some interesting looking cocktails and gins. This bar also had a small patio area and the toilets were also very quirky.
