A large modern pub by the station, there was little in the way of natural ambiance to this place but it is functional. There was the usual duo of Youngs beers , Original & Special along with a regular Youngs guest of St Austell Proper Job which was decent but well north of six quid. Despite the close proximity to the train station I wouldn't bother again.

Modern Youngs pub to the right on leaving the station. Decorated in a mix of styles, modern bar, Scottish baronial, industrial chic and even a bit of railwayana. A slightly raised area at one side has leather banquettes otherwise it’s pretty much tables and chairs. The other side of the room has a partly visible kitchen and a separated room called “the sidings”. The rear placed counter which has four pulls serving “Youngs” Ordinary and Special plus Proper Job. I had breakfast here and that was a weird experience, the food being ponced about with.

I entered this Youngs pubco. modern bar on the ground floor of an IBIS hotel with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The interior is large, with a raised red leather bench seating area to the right,an alcove to the left called The Sidings while the main body of the room had a mix of furniture, many for dining from the open kitchen. The curved bar was sporting handpumps for Youngs Original and Special but thankfully also the reliable guest of St Austell Proper Job (NBSS 3.5).
Swift service, clean if lacking in atmosphere but a useful last stop before getting a train.

Young’s pub that is very handy for the station and the outrider bus to Newmarket races. As stated below the interior seems to be a clash of styles. Train departure screen a bonus.

A Young's pub in the ground floor of the Ibis Hotel in a modern development overlooking the station square. A pleasant open plan interior with mainly low tables and some benched areas to one side. A typical 'unfinished' ceiling with exposed ductwork jars a little with the smart seating to my eye but seems to be obligatory nowadays. Outdoor drinking is provided by a group of pavement tables at the front. There is also a side room - The Sidings - which can be partitioned off for functions. Mainly Young's beers but also carries a local Moonshine bitter, which was very drinkable.
