Will Larter left this review about The Brewery Tap
The Ennerdale Brewery tap is a low building in local red sandstone attached to the light industrial unit that houses the brewery. On entrance, it feels like a cross between a works canteen and a cafe, an impression enhanced by the availability of cake and ice cream. There is a bar counter and an attempt at making the area near the hand pumps a little more publike than the rest of the room. The four beers are scattered separately around two sections of the bar, making selection slightly more difficult than it need have been. I arrived soaking wet through after cycling from Buttermere, and I suppose really a cup of tea and a slice of cake would have been a more sensible option, but I went for a half of Darkest 4.2%, which was very good.
The tap is open seven days a week, but office hours rather than pub hours: 8:30 to 17:00.
