Peter Forster left this review about Beefeater Medina Quay

Effectively part of the Premier Inn. Somewhere to go if you aren’t able or can’t be bothered to walk into Newport town (about ten minutes). Smokers occupied the porch either side of the front door so l had to walk though them. The place is pretty basic and overpriced. Staff were non-communicate to the point of rudeness. If you like motorway service stations it might be okay but I’ll give it a miss in future.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Medina Quay

A Table Table pub / restaurant adjacent to the Newport Premier Inn, next to the river but unfortunately with hedges mostly blocking the view. The interior features the usual anonymous semi-modern furniture and decor in a variety of seating / dining areas. There is also a patio beer garden to one side, and it does do real ale (albeit just Doom Bar and Ringwood Best from two of three handpumps). Clientele largely from the next-door hotel, I suspect, but it serves its purpose for those without the time or inclination to walk into town.
