This is a small bottle shop bar which seems to put a bit more emphasis on its draught selection than most venues of its sort. Its the usual compact, single room set up, with some ugly tiled flooring, plain painted walls and the servery along the left-hand portion of the rear wall. Comfortabke seating doesnt seem to be a high priority, with customers either perched on high stools at drinking ledges under the front windows and along left-hand wall, or around a large table in the centre of the room. Fridges and shelves extend down most of the right-hand wall, each full of bottles and cans for take away or drinking in. Unusually, there was also a TV screen here which was showing live football with the sound on, which im fairly sure is a first for me in such a bottle shop style venue. The left-hand wall has been covered with a pretty spectacular keg insert display that highlights the diverse range of beer theyve had on tap over the years, plus a few colourful art prints and sime potted plants along the drinking ledge. The bar has a simple counter with another fridge built into it, a shelf in the counter front displaying snack options, a shelving rack behind with all the glassware and a TV screen above the taps on the bar back, listing the draught options.
These extended to a total of six craft keg options, all with £8+ price points. I tried the Burnt Mill Radial Lines at £8.20 a pint, which was pretty good, but needless to say, ridiculously over priced. The lone barman was a bit tacit at first, but he warmed up eventually and we enjoyed a decent bit of beer chat.
There didn't really strike me as being anything out of the ordinary about this shop, other than the exorbitant prices, which will probably be my enduring memory from my visit. I don't know much about the pub scene in this part of the city, bit it would appear to fill a bit of a niche for a craft beer venue, so it may be worth a look in passing, as long as your wallet is feeling up to the task.

Sparse whitewashed bottleshop/bar with minimal seating and a six tap craftykeg offering. The reason for visiting was first and foremost to find a particular beer that was listed on their Untappd menu, only to be told breezily by the be-hatted stereotype at the bar “oh we never update that, it’s too much hassle”. Therefore I’ve decided that I will not update my knowledge of the place again, either. You lazy trustafarian gits.

Succinctly described by John below and approaching two years in business, this is dead opposite the Camra Inventory Hare & Hounds pub, and is, in essence, a craft beer "off-licence" which has four keg taps with a rotating variety of brewers and styles. Fridges to the right, with a bar counter against the rear wall, and shelves with square wooden stool seats against the left-hand wall and front window. 2/3rds of a milk stout called Jeffersons You Can Do It Bruce was £3.50 for the privilege. Kid and dog friendly - a fellow customer was in charge of one of each during my visit. Flying Lotus-style muzak played in the background, and wines are also available. A "beer advent calendar" was also available for £85.

Bottle shop with 4 keg beers to drink in.Friendly barman.Selection of bottled beers may be less craft focused than other bottle shops which is a good thing.I like these kind of premises. It aint a pub but that's no bad thing.Kegs from Wimbledon,Wiper and True,Marble and De La Senne but I had a bottle from Weird Beard.Reasonable prices as well.
