David Ross left this review about The Station
Housed in the old station building of the still open Bearsden station, this might appear to be a trainspotter's dream. Unfortunately, though, for trainspotters, the platform and trains aren't visible from the pub. The only concessions to its former usage are signs saying "Guards' Room" and "Waiting Room" and assorted railway memorabilia on the walls. It's on two levels, with the bar on the ground floor and a lounge/function suite, called "The Engine Room," upstairs. Entertainment, including quiz nights, singers and karaoke is advertised on various week nights. There were three real ale taps, but only one, dispensing Deuchars IPA at £3.10 a pint, was in use. Also on draught were Tennent's, Amstel, Peroni, Heineken, St. Mungo, Estrella Damm, Hop House 13 and Punk IPA lagers, Blue Moon American wheat beer, Guinness, Belhaven Best and Strongbow cider. There is also an impressive list of bottled craft beers and a whiskey, rum, wine and cocktail menu. Food is also available. Since the small number of other licensed premises in Bearsden town centre are of the cafe/bar variety, this is the only real pub and worth knowing about for that reason alone. Needless to say, it's also very convenient for trains, which are literally less than a minute's walk away.
