Now closed. They have moved to Hall Street - not that far away!

What a terrific place! About 100 people crammed into an industrial unit, old soul records playing and beer brewed on the premises. We grabbed the last 2 seats and settled in, sampling 2 of the 3 ales available. They post their playlists on social media, so you can see what'll be playing when you visit (or what was on when you were there). Have to say, though, the toilets weren't great.

Very quirky and very full of folk having a good time. Loud music in the bar area and very dark. Friendly staff serving 3 ales - thought there would be more choice in a brew pub, but there was a mild and the cpndition of the 2 we chose were fine. Lots of 45 singles and posters adorn the walls and ceiling.

Jewellery Quarter bar inside the Brewery, with limited opening hours.
Very compact & small its still a very interesting different space, unlike any other, though has the feel of a railway arch. The little alcoves are quirky, all the music material décor the same. Almost a blast back to cosmopolitan 70's.
The beer is very good, as you would expect.
Well worth visiting, but does soon fill up.

Rock and Roll brewery started out above the Lamp Tavern in Digbeth about five years ago. The brewery is now based in a warehouse in Hockley, and all their beers are now brewed from a Brewster, which of course translates to a lady brewer, who IMHO is doing a great job as I really liked the beer on my visit. They had a choice of three beers on handpump on our visit, which were Iggy Beer, British Beer Power and Nash City Roller. All their beers were priced at £3 a pint and the flower power pump clip is a sight to behold.
We called here on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm and the place was full. On entry, I thought I was entering a version of the Cavern Club Liverpool, in it's early beginnings.
I have to say they have put a lot of thought and effort into kitting this microbrewery tap. The bar counter was made up of multi coloured pieces of timber along some of the table tops.
Two alcoves over on the left of the entrance were an interesting feature, and the hole in the wall where you can view the brewery, along with the strip lighting along the floors, add interest when the public are allowed in. They also put a selection of cheese and crackers on the bar, which was a nice touch. Looking forward to another visit, when back in Brum. They open every Friday, 5-9pm, and every Saturday, 1-7pm.
