Strongers . left this review about The Cobblers
Cobblers is split-level with a raised area up the left where seating is found in the front windows before the bar counter that runs up the left-hand wall. Banquettes sit in the right front window and then a raised seating section runs up the right-hand wall to a fireplace with burner and then the snug at the rear. I thought it a bit big and open for a snug, but there was a young couple in there familiarising themselves with one another, so let’s call it a snug. The governor is a fan of jugs because lots of them hang from the ceiling. Premium keg was available alongside five hand pumps, four of which were in operation drawing Bass, Abbot Ale, Directors and Salopian’s Oracle. There were ten or so locals in, which is OK for a Tuesday evening, however I found the music to be very energy draining and I didn’t find the layout to be the most comfortable.

Enjoyed our visit to this friendly locals pub which had a decent selection of ales plus Bass. We chose Wincle Rambler.which was very good.

Situated down a side street off the main street and is away from the main thoroughfare. This seems to be predominantly a local's pub as visitors to the town wouldn't really know it was here. The interior consisted of a long narrow room with a raised bar and small seating area near the front window and brown leatherette banquette seating along the right hand side. There was also a small room at the rear of the pub. The interior also looked to have been recently decorated and the place was very clean and tidy. Six handpumps with five in use, this is a freehouse so expect to find some interesting beers alongside their two regulars Bass and GK Abbott. We went for the Salopian Fat Cat, which was in good shape and the prices were slightly lees than the main high street.

A fairly decent side street pub. Its basically a 2 roomed pub that stretches back. The servery is as you enter and has 6 handpumps on. I was hoping for a better selection of beers than I got today with an interesting Wincle concoction, Butcombe Gold Propaganda and the rather dull Abbott and Bass Bitter being the others. Still, it was a nice place for a drink and hopefully the place does well.
