Tried to call in here on Saturday night. There were 2 bouncers on the door. As I walked up the steps one of them said "What can I do for you sir?" I said that I was just calling in for a drink. He insisted that he would accompany me to a table and "get me seated". I decided not to bother. I assume it's not so pretentious on a Tuesday afternoon!

The BookCafe is a fairly new bar that is next door to the Cosy Club.
Once inside there is a large oblong shaped room which runs to the rear, the floor is bare boarded, the bar is midway down on the right side, the seating is mainly wood tables and chairs, there is also bench seating to the rear left.
There are no real ales on the bar, there was one beer on draught which was Peroni, this was a decent enough drink but expensive at £2.50 for a half.
The pub was very busy on my Tuesday morning visit with people having coffee and small snacks which looked quite nice.
This is not really my sort of place, but it seems to be popular,so good luck to them.
