Cask beer wise just Bushey’s Manx Bitter on hand pump. Keg options were Boddingtons, Bud Light, Carling, original SB.

This is a member’s club but if you ask nicely and like beer then I suspect you are generally welcome. It looks like a traditional social club where absent a card to swipe to get in you must tap on the door. The bar counter is on the right-hand side of the long rectangular venue and is traditional, dark wood and prowled over by a traditional landlord. Along the back wall and running the length of the venue is a leather banquette with tables and small stools to the sides thereof. This area is carpeted. The remainder of the venue is modern, light-coloured bare boards with a lot of tables with decent tall, backed leather chairs. A TV on the wall backing the servery was kicking out typical daytime TV. There is a pool table and dart board over on the left most side of the venue and a small mezzanine area with leather sofas up the flight of stairs outside the bathrooms. The banter between the chaps sitting around the bar counter was interesting to see and safe to say the language turned the air blue on many occasions!
