In this part of town ,I assumed this would be a keg only young persons bar but was surprised to see 5 handpumps operational serving on my trip TT Landlord,Little Critters Turtley Tropical,Spot On,Little Hopper and Twisted Barrel I Love Catch,a peanut stout (NBSS 4). It's a has an ale house vibe with wooden floors, basic furniture ,three rear fridges if you want exotic canned beer and a lively ,noisy atmosphere.
Circuit drinkers will pop in but given an interesting ale range if does warrant a stop if crawling the city centre for real ale.Better than I feared from the outside.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Six Barrel Drafthouse
Relatively recent alehouse right in the city centre, and unlike almost all the others, no door staff needed even on a really busy Euros football evening. Lots of wooden furniture and on the floors and walls, together with breweriana all over. With all six handpumps in use, there was a good selection from mostly local breweries (with Jaipur coming from furthest away), and my pint of implausibly named Schluss Munich Bitter from Hollow Stone (£4.60) was first class.

As the name suggests, this is a pub in the alehouse style, with bare wooden floorboards and a bar counter made of recycled timber. There are six hand pumps with four beers on at the time of my midweek visit; three were fairly standard beers from Ossett, Moorhouses and Purity, with an adventurous 9.5% coffee porter from Navigation which I didn't try as I was told that it had lactose as an ingredient.
A mixture of young people and a few approaching my age, but I've no idea if this is representative of the general demographic - it feels like a young persons pub, but then there are times when I feel like a young person myself. My half of Pride of Pendle was in good condition and my brief visit here was an enjoyable one, with upbeat rock music setting the mood. I entered to the last few bars of Bad Moon Rising, the same song having welcomed me to the Chantry Inn in Sheffield just the day before. (I didn't check if there really was a "bathroom on the right".) There is a sister pub to this one at the bottom of Mansfield Road, half a mile away, and the same company also now owns the Royal Children across town. All welcome additions to the real ale scene in Nottingham.

Looked interesting when I past it whilst walking around town in the afternoon. Primarily here to visit the good beer guide pubs in town, I thought I would give it a try. An inspired choice - as this was one of the most pleasant places visited in the evening.
Lots of beer paraphernalia on the walls and large L shaped room. Dog friendly.
I went for a Delirium Tremens which I was delighted to find was only £4. Friendly staff only blotted their copy-book by asking if I wanted a glass. I am not a heathen!
Have a feeling this may be in the GBG 2022.

Met at the door to do the Track & Trace necessities and then told to sit wherever we liked. One L shaped room with a variety of high tables, low tables and stools. A few in on our Monday lunchtime visit made for a pleasant atmosphere. 3 cask beers available and my pint from Navigation Brewery was in very good nick. Friendly staff and efficient service was a positive. I'd have happily stayed for another pint, but the Angel microbrewery just around the corner was calling. We'll definitely be calling in here again.

Good review by Alan below. I have been in here just once since it re-opened.
Decent pint and nice décor. Packed with ice hockey fans on my Saturday evening visit.
Nothing special, lots of better pubs in Nottingham.

Six casks ales and six craft beers and a large selection of bottled and canned beers on our visit. The interior is rustic in style with lots of rough cut timber around the bar area and walls. An undressed brick wall features at the far end of the pub and the floor was boarded throughout. The selection of chilled beers displayed in the far corner was most impressive and I was pleased to see they had some cans of Beavertown Neck Oil. The young barmaid was friendly and chatty and certainly knew her beers. The choice of ales on handpump was mostly nationals on this visit.

The six Barrel draught house is a new pub/bar that has been built in the premises of a crap former bar that has previously Ben dormant for the past couple of years. Inside is one room that bends around the bar at either side with lots of tables and. Hairs as well as some long bench seating in front of the main bar. the decor is more of a moder style with me shiny wood and metal panelling and hard Woden floors that are not really to my liking but they have made a respectable job of things. The bar has six hand pulls that in my visit were suspending Hatvest pale(£3.10) Trooper (3.40), Roosters Yankee (3.35) Harvuston Bitter and twisted, Purity Ubu and a beer from pentrich brewery as well as a back wall of craft beers. The harvest pale and Bitter and twisted were both in a good condition and about averagely priced for the area. The clientele consisted of a younger, trendier crowd which was fun and gave the bar a very lovely Saturday night on the town atmosphere. This place is very much like the newly opened Hop Merchant in look but with a far better beer selection and far superior staff as well as a younger demographic. I liked this place and would return on a weekend at night when I want somewhere with a bit of atmosphere but probably would avoid during the day as its not the a quaint, quiet getaway to enjoy a peaceful pint type place but anywhere new that sells a good range of cask ale is always welcome.
