Visited on a Saturday evening back in March and I'd say it was the best place of the evening. In years gone by I found this place too loud but that seems to have changed and despite being busy everything was at a very comfortable volume. Four of six hand pulls in service at the bar, with three of their own beers available (brewed in-house, with the brewery equipment visible) plus a guest from Saltaire.
Would recommend.

We were quite shocked to see how much square area this venue takes up, both inside and outside. It also seemed really big on our Wednesday eve visit as the place was so quiet. I've just read Al Bundy's review and he mentioned timber pallets and after looking at my fotos, there is a pile of them attached to the ceiling, in the central part of the large lounge area. Only three cask on handpump on our visit Titanic Plum Porter, Brew York Blonde and Northern Whisper Yammerhouse. I didn't really take to the place.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Gasworks
Describes itself as a 'brew bar', which is true but perhaps doesn't quite capture the impression of it really being a beer hall that happens to have a micro-brewery attached? Anyway, it has plenty of space for a pair of shuffleboard tables as well as general seating / dining / standing, and an outdoor area in Tony Wilson Place. Features various founts for craft and standard keg beers on different parts of the L-shaped counter and bar-back. Also has a bank of six handpumps, if you look carefully. I found three of these in use, offering their own Citra + Simcoe hazy pale (£4.25), MBH's 1924 best bitter and a Vocation & Friends collaboration.

A modern, industrial chic brew bar overlooking Tony Wilson Place, the interior is large and can be hectic. The brewing kit is in a room to the right, there are seating booths and two raised darts boards to the left, while to one side there are a series of shuffle boards. The long bar has 6 handpumps to the left side offering on my visit their house brewed Hazienda 6.4% and Alma IPA 6.0% (very enjoyable, good nick, NBSS 4,a brewer not scared to offer strength. ) along with guests Hawkshead Bitter,Boilerhouse Round Trip,Beartown Doughlicious and Brew York Calmer Chamelion which I though was a decent line up.I appreciated being asked if I wanted a straight or dimpled glass for my pint.
There is much seating outside and on the artificial grass of The Place and I would certainly return when in this new quarter of Manchester. It seemed the best of the modern bars in the immediate area, near the HOME arts complex.

The Gasworks is a large open plan pub with an industrial feel. There is a mix of high and standard size tables throughout and I spotted four shuffleboard tables, two short and two long. Banquettes and booths run down the left windowed wall and there is brewing equipment in the right front corner. I counted six hand pumps on the bar alongside a premium keg range. I wasn’t enamoured with the background music, but I’d pop back in again if passing in a more sober state.

Enjoyed our visit to this bar on 12.8.22. Big place with it's own brewery. We enjoyed their own Gasworks Omnibus XI and Funky Monkey from Northern Monkey.

Visited on Saturday evening. Six cask ales at the bar including two of their own. Service was a bit slow with inattentive staff loitering behind the bar but OK once I caught someone's eye. It was busy and noisy. Not one of my favourite places but fine to visit every now and then.

New brewpub opened by the team that own the Dockyard pubs, which is fairly obvious when you look at the decor i.e. fairly minimalist with an industrial feel. I've been in here 3 times recently, so I thought I'd better get around to reviewing it. The brewery itself is to the right in its own glass area. Be aware that as you approach the bar the cask ales are all to the left hand side, partially hidden by a pillar. The centre of the bar is all craft keg at stupid prices e.g. £4.50 for a 2/3rds measure of Vocation. Only one of their own brewery beers available when I've been in, but there are 5 others to choose from. I've had a few in here and they've all been well kept. Cask ales are £3.50 per pint which is very reasonable for central Manchester. A very good addition to the Manchester beer scene.

Far better than the Liquor Store down the way. As far as I could see the strongest ale was 4.5%. This place was quite busy with some reserved tables.

An open plan place with an industrial feel to it. Its all exposed pipes, wooden pallets and ventilation ducts around the ceiling and as it brews its own beers the brewing equipment is on show to the right as you enter. 6 handpumps on the bar. The decor is not for me but you may like it.
