Castle Street at weekends is always busy with the young and trendy's, I've renamed it 'Silicone Valley' witnessing some of the women. I called in here with a few friends and I am pleased I wasn't in a round, as this place is a rip off. There was a singer/guitarist who must have been half deaf as he was far too loud and we all had to shout to one another.

I only called in here for breakfast, then realised it's on Pubs Galore and thus counted as a tick, the available beers on tap were along the lines as previously mentioned and of little interest to me. However the breakfast was good.

As described by BS below. Fairly quiet on our Monday afternoon visit, but those that were in were all "look at me" wannabees. The Bevvie Across The Mersey was also my beer of choice, it's also a bit better value by the pint, whilst Ms CAMRA had a glass of red wine which she liked. The bar staff were all very pleasant and friendly, but it's still not my kind of place. The other half liked it however, so I may find myself back here at some point in the future.

Very upmarket bar in the smarter end of the city centre.
The room is fairly large and split over two levels. There is also an outdoor drinking area at the front on Castle Street itself. Many drinkers were dressed up to the nines, whilst the many young bar staff produced cocktails for them.
There is of course no real ale here. But keg options were Peroni, Glen Affric Bevvie Across the Mersey, Meantime IPA, Guinness, Cornish Orchards Gold, Asahi, Love Lane Double Hopped Dry IPA & Cervezas Alhambra Especial. At £3 for a half, my Bevvie Across the Mersey was savoured, but not repeated. A repeat visit is also unlikely to happen.
