Rhymney brewery bar following their classic format - simple comfy furnishings, a stuffed animal head, resident codgers, a token local oddball and freezing cold cask from their line-up of two for 3 quid a pop (NBSS 2.5). A welcome wood burning stove on a nippy day which was battling against a fairly dull interior paint job. Better than the Spoons a few doors down, though the Maesteg gloom wasn’t exactly absent.
