I popped into Shots Sports Bar on Friday afternoon when there were only three other people in this vast first floor pool and snooker club. I say club because this is a member’s only establishment. However, guest membership is only £1 per day and when the £1 was added to the price of my first pint it brought the cost up to pub levels. Unsurprisingly only a limited keg range was available.
As well as the pool and snooker tables there is a pinball machine and some dartboards, including three sift tip boards that link to other players around the world. During my visit one of the three other customers was beating a guy who was playing in Japan. Sky and BT Sports are shown on a large projector screen and some low dance music was playing in the background. I found the governor to be hard work, but I imagine he is used to people paying their money before disappearing into the sea of tables. As pool/snooker clubs go this place is pretty decent.
