Definitely not to be confused with the old Aviemore Inn where Robert Burns was served breakfast in 1787 and on the site of which The Winking Owl now stands, this is basically just the bar of the Aviemore Holiday Park. It is, however, open to the general public, so you don't have to be a resident to drink in it. Unfortunately, my experience of it was considerably less positive than the previous reviewer. My pint of Cairngorm Wildcat, costing £3.40, wasn't in the best of health. The alternatives were Guinness, Caledonia Best, Magners cider and Tennent's and Cairngorm lagers, but I didn't feel like staying for a second pint. The modern, rectangular bar has a pool table, dart board, games machines and a TV, with a seating layout reminiscent of a school dinner hall. Even if you're holidaying in one of the chalets or caravans, the only possible advantage of drinking here is that children are allowed in. There is a much better pub five minutes walk away at the Old Bridge Inn.
