The Prince of Brewers is a very long and thin pub with seating at the front and a serving counter up the right that faces high banquettes and tables up the left. More seating is found at the rear where there’s also a pool table. Televisions are found throughout with Champions League football via TNT Sport being aired. Standard keg was available alongside Cruzcampo, but the Birra Moretti was off. The two hand pumps were drawing Wainwright and Hobgoblin. The service was robotic and I had to order at the till even though I was on my own and only ordering one drink, I bet there’s a queue snaking around the pub when it’s busy. A disappointing visit.

A surprisingly long pub which extends a long way to a pool table and garden area at the back. Bright decorations and lighting are doing their best not to feel subterranean but the lack of daylight is telling. Just Pedigree on handpump, although it did look as though there was another clip reversed.

Poor pub with weak real ale and the standard kegs. No doubt this place will be packed on weekend nights but I will not be returning.

Next door to and virtually indistinguishable from the Lord Burton 'spoons. A long thin place, probably a shop conversion, in three sections. The front is a sitting area with tables and chairs, then comes the bar with the counter down one side and booths down the other, behind is a further sitting area with access out to a beer garden. Three pulls on the first section of counter one unbadged the others clip reversed and not interesting beers either (Doombar & something equally drear), no more pulls on the second bit of counter just the usual keg suspects. In more homage to Tim the toilets are upstairs. There's a bit of Bass ephemera, photos and stuff, around the place including a shed in the beer garden with some signs, there's also a big Victorian map of Burton on one front wall. Basically stick to the real 'spoons next door.
