Harrogate's first micropub, opened on 27th May 2016, a one roomer with the counter at back, the beers are kept in a glass box to one side. It's got four pulls plus four key keg taps mounted on the beer box. The box also stores Cider boxes and bottled German beers and unusually for micropubs some wines and gins are served. The beers are listed on slates hung up over a fireplace by the counter and there's a requests board on the beer box. Clear glass light bulbs in interesting fittings provide some extra hipster style illumination and talking hipster the default glass is the bloody mug. The plain white walls are enlivened with some random architectural pictures, a bit of tree with fairy lights hangs over the bar, and there's a few relevant drink related nic-nacs in high places and bunches of hops over the front fireplace. Seating is at tables with a mix of chairs in the front part of the pub and there's vertical drinking round a barrel by the counter augmented by a couple of high stools by the rear fire place. Out the back is a small but nice beer garden decorated with pallets used as plant holders, also through the back the Gents = boyz and the Ladies = girlz. No food other than snacks but in the evening it's very handy for the curry house upstairs. Another pretty good venue added to Harrogate's burgeoning beer scene.
