Will Larter left this review about Sentinel Brewhouse
A new brewery and tap that has been sited in a former carpet showroom in a part of town where pubs are thin on the ground. In its favour is the proximity of Sheffield United's Bramall Lane ground, and the presence of a number of modern flats aimed at students and young professionals. The bar itself is very smart but the building lacks any resemblance to a pub. Two banks of three hand pumps flank a font gantry with half a dozen keg lines, though I did notice a couple were duplicates, and two of the keg beers were also available as real ales. There's a good range of beers, from a session bitter at 3.3% through to an IPA, which was too peachy for me. I did enjoy the best bitter and the stout, though. We thought the beers were well made and in good condition, though perhaps a trifle cold from an over-enthusiastic cooling unit. Glasses are oversize and lined and come in several modern styles to suit the beers. The team running the place seem keen on what they're doing, and I would guess that a lot of money has been put into this new venture. I wish them well.
