Old Boots left this review about Badger & Co.
Very definitely a restaurant with beer as the elegant exterior and prices on the menu at the door will confirm. Split down the middle there is a bar area as you enter and to the right a more formal dining room. There is a meet and seat going on, I was eating here so didn’t enquire if drink only was an option, but it looks likely. The counter has half a dozen keg taps with four beers from Cold Town, an Edinburgh micro, plus Inch's cider and Moretti. Very elegant and a bit posh as befits somewhere in the New Town but not in Rose St. The toilets and an outside drinking area called Toad Hall are downstairs at the back, there’s something of a Wind in the Willows vibe going on as Kenneth Grahame used to live in this house. I was initially discombobulated by a voice in the gents, it turned out to be someone reading an extract from The Wind in the Willows albeit in an American accent rather than the posh English public school accents of the original characters.
