Quinno _ left this review about The Orkney Hotel

A modern refit done quite well, if perhaps not a very pubby end product. Two rooms, one behind each other. Lots of pine wood with Farrow & Ball shade paintwork and the centrepiece stone bar was very impressive. The rear room has two bespoke cupboards containing loads of whisky bottles. Many screens for sports and I guess that’s the market it’s aiming for. Two pumps at the bar as you enter with just Swannay Scarpa Special available (again!) in fair shape. Of interest on keg were Williams Bros Caesar Augustus and Menabrea. Orkney and Swannay bottles in the fridge too mean that for trying a range of interesting local and Scottish brews, this place is a maverick choice and worth having on your crawl of Kirkwall (obviously crawling Kirkwall is a niche activity, but still). 6.5
