Aqualung . left this review about The Hay Stook (JD Wetherspoon)
Although this one is set inside East Kilbride Shopping centre it seems to be much more of a normal Spoons than most of the others in such a position.
It's an open plan room with a low ceiling and typical furnishings. It's not been open long dating from just February 2016.
Although there are twelve hand pumps all beers were doubled up and consisted of Strathaven Ebony & 500, Jaw Surf, Oakham JHB, Broughton Exciseman's 80 shillings and Stewart's Edinburgh Gold. I went for the Edinburgh Gold which was in decent nick.
This is one of the better shopping centre Spoons.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Hay Stook (JD Wetherspoon)
Located within the huge East Kilbride shopping centre, you are probably unlikely to expect too much from this new 'spoons. However, on a Sunday afternoon at least, it proved to be a relatively calm experience (despite the numerous family groups with young children in). The interior is irregular in shape, with a few pillars to break up the space. Modern furniture and quite well lit, with a covered patio area to one side. Eight of 12 handpumps, with several less-usual beers - e.g. EdinBrew 70/- at £2.25 - in addition to the more common offerings. NB - Has a separate door for when the shopping centre is closed.
