Strongers . left this review about El Gato Negro
El Gato Negro is a long and thin restaurant that has a serving counter with some stools in the right rear corner, no issues with just going in for a beer at a busy dining time. There’s no draught so I ended up with a small bottle of Alhambra to drink while listening to the likes of Morrisey and Amy Winehouse in the background. Expensive, I was charged £7.65 for one drink, which had a service charge added. I was sat at the bar!

Happily ROB's snotty front of house manager wasn't around! Still an average sort of place - not impressed by the lager, so only 5.

A 2 floored tapas bar with the upstairs being all restaurant. The downstairs area has high tables at the front, some standard dining tables and chairs towards the rear and some barstools for drinkers. It's all very nicely done and the food is very good. There's only 2 drought lagers on the bar but there's a large range of bottles, cocktails and wines. The only downside is the snotty front of house manager. He suffers from small man syndrome and has a really poor attitude. They're going to lose 2 points for having to listen to his self-important crap.
