E TA left this review about Cosy Club
A former Masonic lodge occupying two floors above shops in the busy shopping area of central Bournemouth. There is a narrow high street shop front entrance into a foyer from which you climb stairs (or, in the case of many Bournemouth residents, take the lift) up to the surprisingly spacious bar and dining areas. There are many paintings and other walls decorations, some are relics of its Masonic history, but the ‘club’ effect is marred by the awful, intrusive muzak and the tribe of over-tattooed and pierced juveniles serving as staff. The clientele are definitely not the sort you would find in a club – many families with loud children compete with shoppers and other individuals from across the spectrum of Bournemouth dwellers competing for the limited seating. Food is the usual Cosy Club fare, though it didn’t look as appealing as the one in Salisbury. Only one ale on, Jurassic Portland Porter, which was in good condition. Overall, not a bad place for a quick pint while the wife shops, but not a prime evening venue.
