Will Larter left this review about Ledgowan Lodge Hotel
This former hunting lodge stands on a small rise above the old bridge that used to carry the road that has been replaced by the modern A890 just before its junction at a roundabout with the A832. All very grand, but not a lot of traffic. The nearby railway station is similarly quiet, though at least it's not a request stop, like some on the beautiful line from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh. A drive leads up to the lodge through some wrought iron pillars and past a clump of trees. The entrance to the hotel is into a large hall festooned with the heads of several dead red deer. No need to ask what they were shooting at when this was used as a hunting lodge. The bar is in a small room off to the left, with an unprepossessing bar counter. There is one hand pump on the bar, serving An Teallach Kildonan, an appropriately unprepossessing beer, which was in good condition.
