Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Chapel

The name is accurate insofar as the building's original purpose is concerned, but 'The Second-hand Bookshop' might be closer now? Anyway, it's an interesting place, albeit with quite a plain frontage that I must have walked past a dozen times over the years. On entering, you pass through a small alehouse-style seating area before you step down in a slightly larger bar with a similar look and just enough space for a tiny stage. During the Folk Week, I found six of the eight handpumps in use, with a reasonable selection of cask ales including my New Zealand Pale from Tonbridge (£4.90), with the only downside being mandatory plastic 'glasses' due to the ongoing event.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Chapel

The chapel is housed in part of old St Mary's Chapel, where the original foundations are said to date from the 1350's. I mistakenly had this bar written down as the Library, which is an easy mistake to make as the majority of the interior is full of secondhand books, which you can purchase.
The layout consisted of a short entrance lobby, which led into the main bar area on the right, plus there was a small front snug area opposite the bar. The bar was gothic in style and was constructed from oak. The lighting in here was ambient, which made things difficult at the bar choosing a drink. There were three ales on handpump, 12 keg and a lot of Brewdog beers. We went for the Tiny Rebel Simcoe, which was decent.
