The Palfrey is situated in Blacksmiths yard and is close to the Forge which is in the same yard.
Once inside the bar faces in a long oblong shaped room which runs the width of the pub,the floor is bare boarded and the left side is up one step,there are settees facing the bar to the right and tall tables to the left.
There were no real ales on the bar which was no surprise,i had a drink of Estrella which was drinkable but expensive.
Background music was playing.
There is a room upstairs that i presume is used for diners.
Not really my sort of place,but if you like these bars then this may well suit you.
