A "micro alehouse" housed in a converted retail unit just off the main crossroads in central Carterton, that could be classed as a micropub, but perhaps not in that association's eyes, with piped music (Lighthouse Family, bizarrely), television (showing SpongeBob Squarepants, even more bizarrely), and mentions of Open Mic and Comedy Nights and a cocktail menu. The ale range was eclectic with Animal Flutter, Mad Dog Bohemian Hipster, Brightside Polaris, something called Blunt Rabbit and "Dry Still Cider" on the pumps all priced £1.90 a half / £3.80 a pint. Also several bottled and canned options in the fridge. Has the potential to be good, but was dead on a Sunday afternoon and close proximity to the other two pubs in the village, plus being close to RAF Brize Norton means that, while an applaudable venture, this might not have been the right town to undertake it in.
