Blue Scrumpy left this review about Tariff & Dale
This place initially felt more like a posh wine bar than a drinkers' pub or bar. There were a few people eating, but there were also plenty who were clearly there to drink. An old lift shaft is a fairly unique place to enjoy a drink. This can be found just beyond the bar, whilst I was also surprised to find a pool table in its own games room at the far end.
On the bar, a solitary handpull remained unclipped. However, the craft beer selection was better than I had anticipated. It included Lervig House Party, Bullhouse Rolling Papers, Pilot Peach Melba Sour, Shindigger Mango Unchained & Kona Big Wave.
Whilst this place was better than I had expected, it wouldn't be top of my list for any pub crawl around the Northern Quarter. The toilets do seem to have been cleaned since the last review.

Tariff and Dale has a long bar that supports two unused handpumps and ten craft keg fonts, I went for half a Beavertown Neck Oil at an eye watering £3.50 for a half – piss take, especially when the toilet is a mess and there isn’t a lock on the trap. Around to the rear left of the bar is a pool table, at the top of the stairs to the ill kept bogs. Downstairs is a large dining area that was closed during my recent midweek evening visit. Great place for fans of expensive dimly lit bars.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Tariff & Dale
Trendy bar (up a half-flight of stairs) and restaurant (downstairs). Stripped-out interior with metal columns propping up the ceiling and mostly whitewashed brick walls. What fittings there are have an industrial feel, with just a basic cage for bottled drinks adding a slightly unusual note. Just Ultra Pale from Outstanding (which it wasn't really, especially at £4.20) from one of the pair of handpumps.

Interesting, well designed, modern decor in this fairly new bar. The bar is to the left as you enter and even further to the left round a corner is a hidden away pool table. There are alcoves and booths for a more private conversation. There's a great B & W picture of a girl swigging champagne from a bottle. Fairly busy with the post work crowd on my Friday early evening visit, but still comfortable and the bar staff were efficient. 2 handpumps on the bar serving First Chop DOC and Outstanding Extra Pale. The DOC was in good nick, but set me back £3.80. I liked it in here and the other half will love it.

A pub/restaurant with the restaurant downstairs. The bar is to your left as you enter. Though its not, it does resemble a cellar bar with bare walls and 6 pillars surrounding the bar. Has 2 handpumps serving a First Chop beer and an Outstanding Brewery beer. Several craft beers on draught too. Has caged bottles of wine next to the bar too. Its a narrow bar with American diner kinda seating.
