Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sparkle Horse
Side-street pub round the back of Kelvinhall subway station, and popular with a younger crowd (which makes sense at the university is nearby). Too busy on a Saturday evening to get a good look around, or to see what was on all the taps along the counter (but they don't sell cask ale), but some of the keg beers come from the likes of West (including the St Mungo and Heidi-Weisse) and Willams Bros. Two points made on their website - "Please note we no longer serve food" and "Warning: We may play albums in their entirety."

If you ignore the trendy modern name and the high prices, the interior here is much the same as when it was the Dowanhill Bar. The addition of food service and outdoor pavement seating at the front, however, differentiate it from the “working man's pub” it once was. £3.70 for a pint of Tennent's lager is on the expensive side, even for the West End and Peroni and St. Mungo lagers, Stowford Press cider and Guinness are also on draught, presumably at even higher prices.
