An odd but cosy pub with a small L shaped front room with a mix of sofas and chairs making it almost cluttered, there is a further more open back room which had a drum kit set up in readiness for live music later on. The bar crammed into the front room offered no cask but six taps, strangely not clipped or named in anyway, so had to get a verbal menu from the girl serving, I chose an NZ Pale and upon enquiring as to exactly what it was, meaning brewery she proudly informed me it was a New Zealand Pale, I ended up non the wiser as to what I was drinking although it was ok.
Another one for the locals of which there were several.

A rather quaint conversion of a small hardware shop that looks like it should be a micro, but as it has no real ale, isn't. The original exterior belies its being a pub at all, and it's only when you venture inside and see the bar that realise it is. It's cosy and pleasant, but as the only offerings were megakeg, I don't think I'll make it a priority to come back.

You may have walked past this pub as they have left the frontage from Biddle Bros Builders Merchants intact.Metal bars and old leadlights and large windows to the front.Quite a small front bar leading into a rear room being set up for music on my visit. Eclectic furnishing and in the narrow space in front of the bar were two bikes parked against the wall.No pumplips or beer menu so the barman asked whether I wanted lager stout or ale.No cask but a choice of Pressure Drop(I think)-pale on keg or my choice Hackney -red ale on keykeg.Good beer reasonable price.Friendly barman and customers.
